Identifying Problems

Have you ever taken something apart to figure out how it was made? This process is how reverse engineering works. When a part stops working, taking it apart to identify the problem is the best way to fix it. There could be other reasons to deconstruct as well.

*
Knolling

Knolling is a visually pleasing way of lining up a group of items for layouts or photographs. After taking a larger item apart into its component pieces, the smaller items are lined up in 90-degree angles.

*
3D Scanning

3D Scanning is the process of collecting data of an environment or object and recreating it as a digital model using geometry, color, and captured images.

*
Re-invent

Re-invent or re-engineer is the process of reverse engineering with the intent of studying the product with the idea of overhauling it or improving parts of it. If you like the basic design of something but would like to add to it a different functionality, you may want to re-invent it.
