Farm-to-Table

Farm-to-table is the process by which agricultural products are produced, processed, transported and marketed to reach the consumer’s table.

*
Tracking

With tracking technology, farmers and logistics companies can track the location and condition of their produce and equipment throughout the supply chain. This information can be used to optimize transportation routes, prevent spoilage or damage to goods, and ensure timely delivery. In addition, tracking can provide valuable insights into the performance of logistics operations, enabling continuous improvement and greater efficiency.

*
Supply & Demand

The definition for supply and demand is the amount of a commodity, product or service available and the desire for buyers, considered as factors regulating price for the commodity.

*
Transportation

Transportation is crucial in agriculture as it ensures products reach markets and consumers promptly and in good condition. Reliable transportation infrastructure allows farmers to access essential inputs and connect with suppliers and buyers in distant markets. Transportation provides jobs and income opportunities for workers in the agriculture supply chain and drives economic growth in rural areas.

*
Production

The production of food products has been around since recorded history and when people were hunters and gatherers. As people became more sedentary and did not move around, food product farming increased to feed people within families and communities. In today’s modern society, only 2% of the US population is involved in producing food products for not only the citizens of our country but also feeding and supplying food products shipped worldwide.
