Drones, also known as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), can be controlled remotely or fly autonomously through pre-programmed instructions. Drones are equipped with various technologies to capture images, videos, and data from different perspectives and heights. They are used for multiple applications, including aerial photography, surveying and mapping, delivery services, search and rescue and surveillance.

Robot Platforms

Robot platforms in agriculture are autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicles or machines designed to perform various tasks in the agricultural field. Based on their design, function and mobility, these platforms can be categorized into several types: UAVs/drones, ground-based, autonomous and crop protection. Agriculture robot platforms are designed to improve efficiency, reduce labor costs and increase productivity while minimizing environmental impact.

Software Packages

Software packages in agriculture tools of the trade refer to the various computer programs and applications designed to support agricultural production, management and analysis. The software packages can be used for multiple tasks, including crop planning, soil analysis, irrigation management, pest control, livestock management and financial management.

Modeling & Simulation

Modeling and simulation enable farmers and researchers to understand and predict the behavior of complex agricultural systems. By developing computer models and simulations, researchers can test different scenarios and analyze the impact of various factors on crop growth, yield and quality. Models can simulate the effects of different irrigation strategies, fertilization rates and pest control methods on crop growth and yield.
